As a stay at home mom of two under 5, I try my best to find fun and exciting things to do for everyone in the family! We've done countless zoo trips, park picnics and such but we had never taken the girls apple picking! My oldest just started the 'Letter of the Week' pre-k home schooling curriculum this week, with A being our first letter (shocker lol) I thought visiting our local orchard would be fun!
We got up early on a super hot day and headed to Linvilla Orchards! It's a beautiful farm with amazing food! The apple cidar slush and cidar donuts are delicious but if you're headed there be sure to try their AMAZING corn on the cob (add a little steak seasoning!). The best cob I have ever had! We also checked out the animals: cows, chickens/roosters and ducks. We were able to feed them as well! Kennedy absolutely loves farm animals so this was perfect!
We also visited Pumpkin Land, which launched today! I am so eager to start carving and decorating the house for fall and Halloween! I'm so sure we will be back before Halloween to pick up more pumpkins! But we were really here for the apples! The girls weren't too happy about how dirty fruit picking is lol. Kennedy insists on wearing either a dress or tutu so she was a bit overdressed! We did enjoy picking different apples and we even took a hayride to the veggies and fruits! It was a little too hot so we settled for grapes only but we will be back again that's for sure!
If you're in the Philly area we totally recommend visiting Linvilla especially now up until Halloween! It's also great things going on! Be sure to visit their website and check out their calendar: http://www.linvilla.com/.
And if you're looking for those adorable apple shirts check out our fall collection ;)
